DanNorris.com: Future Oracle events

Bradd Piontek · 1 year agoThanks for the dates. Collaborate '09 was on my list of 'to-find-out' the day I read this. Uncanny. here's hoping our conference and travel budgets make more sense. In your professional opinion, picking between the one's above, which one is the best bang for buck?

Dan · 1 year agoFor practical, use-it-now information, I think Collaborate has the best fit. For a lot about new features, what's coming, and lots of fun (Collaborate is fun too), OpenWorld is a great place to get that sort of stuff. For performance-focused sessions, the Hotsos Symposium is the place to be. If you can manage to convince your management, the UKOUG conference is a well-rounded, deeply technical event focused on Oracle technology. Occasionally, flights from Chicago to London are about the same cost as Chicago to San Francisco. Unfortunately, with the USD not doing so well, it isn't the best time to visit the UK.
