I'm glad to hear it! Thanks for the update. I guess some incorrect information combined with lots of pictures that didn't include any fish led me to a bad conclusion. I look forward to meeting you in June and seeing some trout too. Knowing that there are fish in there makes it even more amazing that it is so clear!

I need to correct you here, you say " It supports no wildlife (another reason it’s so clear/clean)". That is actually wrong. The lake is one of the better trout-fishing lakes in Iceland, with more types of trout than any other icelandic lake. The lake is home to the largest trout found in Iceland: http://www.veidi.is/public/...
